Purple Haze 1930s Kimono

1,198 kr

Alluring kimono, sewn and painted by hand, pre world war II.
Different techniques such as stencil and hand painting creates the psychedelic impression of this kimono. Silk is soft rinzu silk, lining is partly silk, partly cotton. It’s a bit shorter then this type of kimonos usually are. Condition is overall very good considered it’s age, some small stains and some holes in the lining can be seen. But nothing that is highly noticeable while wearing.
Obviously it’s a piece of art, and it’s up to you to experiment and make it your own.

Vintage clothing was sized differently than modern clothing, therefore we provide measurements to each listing. Please read this guide to get the measurements right.

We also provide an approximate modern size estimate (example: XS, S, M, L) in each listing, do keep in mind that these are just approximate and always go by measurements to be sure.

All measurements are taken across the garment laying flat. Which means you have to double them to get the circumference. Best way usually is to compare the flat measurements on a similar piece of clothing from your wardrobe.

Please keep in mind that some fabrics stretch out more than others. If a measurement is marked  FREE , it means it’s open and wide.

If you have any questions regarding size never hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to help you out.
